How to Enable “USPS First-Class Mail Letter” Shipping in Your Whatnot Show (and Save Your Buyers Money)

If you run live shows on Whatnot, you already know how important it is to keep shipping costs reasonable for your customers. One of the easiest ways to lower those costs, especially for lightweight items like singles, stickers, patches, or small collectibles, is by enabling USPS First-Class Mail Letter as a shipping option.

Here’s the quick step-by-step guide to turning it on in your show settings:

The Quick Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Go to your Seller Hub
Log in to Whatnot and click into the Seller Hub.
  2. Select “Shows”
From the top navigation, open the Shows tab.
  3. Open the specific show you want to update
Click into the show where you’ll be offering the lighter items.
  4. Scroll down to “Shipping Settings” (Image 1)
This section controls all shipping preferences for your show.
  5. Expand the “Domestic Shipments” menu
You’ll see all available U.S. shipping methods here.
  6. Toggle on “USPS First-Class Mail Letter”
On the far right, switch the toggle to the ON position.
This immediately allows buyers to receive qualifying items at a much lower postage rate.

Why This Matters

Turning on this shipping method can significantly reduce your customers’ costs—sometimes by several dollars per order—making your show more buyer-friendly and encouraging more sales. It’s a small setting change that creates a huge boost in customer satisfaction.
